It’s a….!

I find technology amazing! Especially technology that involves a 3D ultrasound machine. We visited a baby ultrasound business in Summerville which has ultrasound technicians that can tell the sex of your baby at 15 weeks. Which means I would be telling a little white lie and visit this said business at 14 weeks. (With Evan, the baby ultrasound business we visited made you wait until 16 weeks, in which another little white lie was told and we went at 15 weeks). These two little white lies can be blamed on my extreme type A personality. I just had to know! Which means it’s all excusable.

As you can tell, Evan looks just thrilled about the news. These pictures were taken several days after we found out we were having a girl. Evan is getting better at staying still just long enough for some close-ups. He is so handsome!

Here are a few pictures from the ultrasound appointment

We are just so jubilant and overcome with emotion about our news! We thought for sure our new baby was going to be another boy because baby was already measuring big, just like Evan always did (also, have you seen me lately???). So we were very surprised when the ultrasound technician said “girl”! Needless to say, it looks like she’s going to be a brut!

We feel extremely blessed already to have a perfectly healthy little boy and never imagined it was possible to have another little miracle. After seeing baby girl dance around on that monitor, we are more than humbled by the blessings God has given us. As the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays approach, let us remember to be humble and thankful for all we have. Too often we lose focus of what our lives are supposed to be about and get caught up in selfishness and materialism. Let’s all try to be more grateful!

And thank you as always to my best friend and the very talented, Sarah Rogers for the beautiful pictures!

  1. I’m so happy for you! Girls are great. You’ll have a shopping buddy and someone to dress up in those pretty dresses and bows. But I feel sorry for her when she becomes a teenager. Those boys won’t even have a chance. 🙂 Congratulations again. I love you guys.
