Our trip was a blast!
We got there around 5:00 pm Friday, checked into our hotel and then headed to dinner at a fancy schmancy restaurant (in which we were way under dressed). It was all good, that’s just how we roll after driving 5 hours. Luckily for Lovebug, there was a Hobby Lobby right next to the restaurant. He was so thrilled to experience his first trip into a Hobby Lobby. Believe me, he got to experience the whole store. We didn’t miss an aisle!
The game wasn’t until 7:00 pm on Saturday so we took it easy. We have been movie theater deprived since Evan came along so we were so giddy to be able to sneak off and see “The Other Guys”. I must tell you that it is extremely funny. And yes, it was a cop movie that I actually wanted to see.
Next stop was Turner Field and just my luck it started to rain as soon as we pulled into the parking lot. Next thing I know, I see this homeless looking man selling ponchos for $5 ( I just knew he was God sent to save me from the rain). So I gladly paid him $10 for two matching red ponchos. When he gives them to us, I see a big Dollar General sticker on them for the whopping price of $1. Lovebug said that we got ripped off, but I like to think of it as his business and that I supported his homeless crack cocaine fund.
I am sorry to report that Chipper Jones tore his ACL and therefore, was unable to play. Poor Lovebug was so sad that he didn’t get to see him. The Braves lost 2 to 1….boo!
Here is a picture of our awesome seats. The rain finally did decide to quit just in time for the game.
Our trip was great, but there is no place like home. Evan was at my parents house so we high-tailed it to Moncks Corner and got him. Here are some of our reunion pictures.
Uncle Seth loves loves loves the camera and insisted that we had enough pictures of Evan and that he now needed his pictures taken. So here are some pictures of the ham.
This last one is my favorite solely because he has a big piece of pepper on his tooth and leftover food around his mouth…oh, how I love this goofy kid!
